ARIZONA—The American Indian Christian Mission is looking for two mission-minded people who like to work with people: an operations director and a summer intern. AICM has a boarding school for Apache and Navajo children, operates a bus ministry, and does outreach work on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation. The mission is located in the White Mountains near Show Low, AZ. The operations director’s primary responsibility is human resources. He or she would be responsible for all mission operations when the executive director is off-campus. AICM would like to fill this position by January or February. Minimum qualifications: have a business management education background or some experience in ministry leadership. A degree in business and experience managing staff or volunteers is preferred. AICM would like someone who is active in a Christian church or church of Christ-type congregation. AICM desires a commitment of at least two years. Base salary is $18,500 to $21,000, depending on experience. Package includes housing, utilities, and food (equivalent to a salary of around $34,000). Candidates for the summer intern position should like to work with children and church groups. During the summer, AICM hosts ministry teams (usually teen youth groups) from churches all over the country; they come to the mission to do projects and work with kids on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation. AICM also hosts summer camps for Apache children. Interns are needed to make sure the ministry teams get what they need, clean the dorms and linens after teams leave, and help in other areas around the campus when needed. OREGON—Astoria (OR) Christian Church is seeking a senior pastor to lead the congregation to continue God’s work. The present pastor is retiring in February after serving faithfully at ACC for 23 years. Responsibilities will include administration (maintain regular office hours, meet with committees, and give a monthly report to the church board); leadership (lead and shepherd the congregation together with the elders); minister (prepare and preach a weekly sermon, and possibly teach a Sunday school class and/or a group on Wednesday night, among other responsibilities); and pastoral care (provide premarital, marriage, spiritual, and bereavement counseling, while also offering pastoral care to the sick and shut-ins). INDIANA—Warren (IN) Church of Christ is looking for a full-time youth minister. The person in this position will focus on teen ministry, joining a ministry team that includes the preaching minister and a part-time children’s minister. TENNESSEE—Milligan College in northeast Tennessee invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position to lead a new undergraduate program in musical theatre starting August 2018. Candidates should have a record of professional performing experience in musical theatre as well as extensive knowledge of musical theatre repertory and the professional theatre world. Candidates should also demonstrate successful teaching experience in classical voice and in coaching and directing musical theatre. Musical proficiency at the keyboard is preferred. Primary teaching responsibilities will include applied voice, musical theatre history and repertory, and direction or assistant direction of productions. Houseparents take care of students in the dormitory during the week (off during school hours and weekends).
