Freelance Submissions

CHRISTIAN STANDARD is for volunteer and paid leaders in local congregations, mission stations, and parachurch agencies of Christian churches and churches of Christ around the world. It seeks to

• inform them,
• challenge them,
• help them do their jobs,
• allow them to learn what other leaders in this fellowship are doing, and
• provide a place for them to share their successes.

We accept freelance submissions. Articles should be double-spaced, typed on one side of the page only. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) for replies and return of unused manuscripts.

Articles for CHRISTIAN STANDARD should be no longer than 1,600 words, and shorter pieces of 800-1,300 words are highly welcome.

In shortest supply are feature stories telling how and why local congregations in this fellowship are serving in their communities. Pictures are always welcome to accompany such articles.

We need more personal stories from leaders showing how they grappled with a personal or church-related leadership problem.

We also print essays examining issues or trends of special significance to all kinds of leaders in Christian churches and churches of Christ.

We do not print poetry, and we are not seeking devotions, general inspirational material, or pieces on general Christian living.
